Dr. John Gicking is a board-certified Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Specialist. He earned his DVM from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine and completed both a rotating internship and an Emergency and Critical Care residency at BluePearl (formerly Florida Veterinary Specialists) in Tampa. Achieving board certification in 2010, Dr. Gicking has remained on staff as a full-time Critical Care Specialist, where he continues to manage complex ICU cases and mentor incoming veterinary professionals.
His clinical interests include advanced diagnostic imaging, the treatment of snake envenomation and heat stroke, transfusion medicine, and extracorporeal therapies.
In his spare time, Dr. Gicking enjoys time with his family, outdoor activities, and strength training.
